Setting up your Lay-Z-Spa is a straightforward, tool-free process, but it is important to remember that getting from "box" to "bubbles" is more of a marathon than a sprint. While the assembly is simple, you should plan ahead to allow plenty of time for filling and heating so the water is perfectly warm for your first soak.

Where Is The Best Place To Put Your Lay-Z-Spa?
Choose a flat, level surface for setup to prevent damage. Clear sharp debris and use a grounded outdoor socket, avoid using extension leads due to fire risk
Place the Lay-Z-Spa Pool & Hot Tub Floor Protector on your chosen spot. Unfold the spa liner on top of the sheet. If it’s cold outside, let the liner sit in a warm room first so the PVC is supple and easier to straighten out
How To Inflate Your Lay-Z-Spa Using The Pump?
Use the provided inflation hose to connect the pump's air outlet to the valve on the liner, then press the Bubble button on the control panel. Inflate it until the tub feels firm but still has a slight "give" when pressed, this allows the air inside to expand safely when the sun hits it
Insert the inflatable bladder into the top cover and fill it using the same inflation hose. This bladder is essential for retaining heat, which helps reduce electricity bills and warms the water quickly
Align the pump with pipes A, B and C on the tub. Hand-tighten the plastic screw connectors and ensure the rubber seals are inside the caps to avoid leaks. Avoid using tools to prevent cracking the plastic threads
Where Does The Filter Go And How To Install It?
Place a clean Type VI filter cartridge into its plastic housing and screw it onto the lower intake valve on the inside wall of the tub
Rinse the filter every few days and replace it every two weeks to keep the water clear
How Much Water Should You Put In The Hot Tub?
Fill the hot tub with a garden hose until the water level is between the Min and Max lines on the inside wall. Avoid reaching the top, as the water will rise when people get in and move around.
How Long Does The Water In The Hot Tub Take To Heat Up?
Set the temperature on the panel to around 40°C and expect the water to heat up by 1.5°C to 2°C per hour, taking about 12 to 24 hours. Add your initial chemicals like chlorine or bromine while it heats and keep the lid securely on to retain heat and speed up the process
*Important To Note*
You must shock dose your water before your first use of the hot tub in order to correct the sanitiser level, stop the growth of germs and keep the water clear and sparkling! Read more about shock dosing in the article below
