Christmas Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

-75g Self-Raising Flour

-175g Dark Muscovado Sugar

-175g Butter

-3 Eggs

-½ Teaspoon Cinnamon & Nutmeg

-1 Teaspoon Mixed Spice

-Pinch of Salt

-225g Raisins

-225g Sultanas

-125g Mixed Peel

-100g Cherries

-100g Ground Almonds

-175g Breadcrumbs

-300ml Stout

Step 1:  

Mix dried fruits, peel, zest, juice, and brandy. Cover and soak overnight.

Step 2:  

Add flour, breadcrumbs, sugar, suet, apple, spices, salt, eggs, and stout. Stir well. The mixture should be thick and sticky

Step 3:

Let each family member stir and make a wish.

Step 4:

Grease a basin, fill with mixture, and cover with parchment and foil. Tie securely with string.

Step 5:

Steam for 6 hours, topping up with boiling water as needed.

Step 6:

Cool completely and store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 weeks.

Step 7:

Re-steam for 2 hours on Christmas Day. Turn out, flame with brandy, and serve hot.
