Why Choose Venetian Blinds?

They consist of horizontal slats, usually made from materials such as aluminium, wood, or PVC. These slats can be adjusted to let in varying amounts of light or completely closed for privacy. With their sleek appearance and versatility, Venetian blinds have become a popular choice for both residential and commercial spaces.
Light & Heat Control: Choosing Venetian blinds for your windows not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides excellent control over natural light. How to measure your Windows for Venetian Blinds?
Inside or Outside Mount: Decide whether you want the blinds to fit inside the window recess (inside mount) or outside it (outside mount). This decision will affect your measurements.
Measure Width and Height:
Inside Mount: Measure the width inside the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom, and use the narrowest measurement. For height, measure from the top inside edge to the window sill on the left, centre, and right, using the longest measurement.
Outside Mount: Measure the width where you want the blinds to cover, adding extra space on each side for full coverage. Measure the height from the top of where you want the blinds to start to the bottom.Double-Check Measurements: Always recheck your measurements to ensure accuracy. It’s better to measure twice and cut once.
How To Install Venetian Blinds?
1. Install Mounting Brackets: Mark the positions for the brackets, ensuring they are level. Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. Secure the brackets using screws, ensuring they are firmly attached.
2. Attach the Blind: Place the blind into the bracket. Slide the face plate into the bracket to secure the blind in place.
3. Cut to size Measure the amount by which you want to trim the blinds. You must cut equal amounts off either side of the blind. Using a hacksaw, cut the head rail and the bottom rail. Measure and mark each slat carefully to ensure that each slat is cut to the same width. To achieve the best results and cut each slat individually.
4. Test the Blinds: Lower and raise the blinds to ensure smooth operation. Adjust the tilt mechanism to check slat movement. Hold down brackets should be used only if blind is to be in a permanently lowered position. Fit the holes on the both ends of the bottom rail into the hold down brackets.
How do I clean my Venetian Blinds?
- Regular Cleaning: Dust the slats regularly with a venetian blind cleaner, duster or a microfiber cloth. For a deeper clean, use a damp cloth and mild detergent, ensuring the slats are completely dry afterwards.
- Avoid Ecessive Force: When adjusting the blinds, handle them gently. Excessive force can damage the mechanism or the slats.
- Inspect For Damage Periodically check for any signs of wear or damage, such as bent slats or malfunctioning cords. Address any issues promptly to prevent further damage.
