Christmas Pudding Recipe
Celebrate the festive season with our rich and traditional Christmas pudding recipe, packed with dried fruits, warm spices and a hint of brandy for that classic holiday flavour. Perfect for gifting or indulging, it’s the ultimate dessert for your Christmas feast.
Dry Ingredients:
200g Raisins
200g Sultanas
150g Currants
100g Mixed Peel
100g Plain Flour
100g Breadcrumbs
150g Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Mixed Spice
½ Tsp Cinnamon
½ Tsp Nutmeg
Pinch Of Salt
Wet Ingredients:
150g Shredded Suet (Or Grated Butter)
3 Large Eggs, Beaten
150ml Stout Or Dark Ale
100ml Brandy (Plus Extra For Flaming)
1 Small Apple, Grated
Zest And Juice Of 1 Orange
Zest And Juice Of 1 Lemon

Step 1:
Mix dried fruits, peel, zest, juice, and brandy. Cover and soak overnight.
Step 2:
Add flour, breadcrumbs, sugar, suet, apple, spices, salt, eggs, and stout. Stir well. The mixture should be thick and sticky
Step 3:
Let each family member stir and make a wish.
Step 4:
Grease a basin, fill with mixture, and cover with parchment and foil. Tie securely with string.
Step 5:
Steam for 6 hours, topping up with boiling water as needed.
Step 6:
Cool completely and store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 weeks.
Step 7:
Re-steam for 2 hours on Christmas Day. Turn out, flame with brandy, and serve hot.
