The water fountain has a reservoir and, as a result, is self-contained. This means you don't have to worry about a permanent water supply and re-filling it. A pump is included, which allows the water to pump cyclically. The pump also allows the flow rate to be adjusted based on the 11L capacity that the water fountain holds.
